A delicate ecosystem. If one is driven to extinction it throws the rest off balance. Shouldn't humans, as the "most intelligent" species, care for all the other creatures and natural world instead of finding ways to exploit them? After all, we're all connected.

An exploratory study turning a still life piece into a surreal macabre experience. I wanted to connect the two subjects with bold neon colours and the expressive paint strokes of the light.

This sketch was intended as a challenge to paint more expressively with bold colours, focusing more on the feel of the paint strokes and achieving a likeness without precise realism.

I painted this piece after I had been reflecting upon how our choices impact the world around us. Nature is finely balanced and we take from it to satisfy ourselves without maintaining the balance. I'm drawn to bumble bees recently as a prime example of a species in steep decline due to our actions. I've depicted them pollinating, carrying out their remarkable fine-tuned role in the circle of life. Their bold colourful bodies amongst flowers display the beautiful potential of nature to thrive. It's an important reminder to make sustainable choices in all areas of our life for the sake of all non-human animals, nature and our own species' survival on this planet.

I’ve used bold fluorescent colours to reflect on some of the smallest beautiful creatures whose rainforest homes are under threat. It’s a homage to the countless species that may never be discovered due to biodiversity loss and the clock-face highlights the time we have left to protect the rest.

I once came across a quote on a website describing rabbiting as "a great summer sport" and it made me so upset. I thought back to beautiful bunnies I once met on the Japanese Island ‘Okunoshima’- 'Rabbit Island'- years ago. The island was used to develop chemical weapons in WWII, the effectiveness of which where tested on rabbits. After the war, rabbits were released to live on the island freely. Nowadays hundreds of bunnies have taken over the island, roaming amongst desolate buildings in a place others were once horribly exploited; it was really surreal.
So I painted the wistful look of one bunny I photographed. Then experimented with harsh neon red tones to emulate an uncomfortable atmosphere of reality, reflecting on how unsafe life may be for wildlife in our country and all of the awful ways history has cruelly used these animals.

I created this mural as part of the Watch This Space Live Art event where a group of artists painted live over two days over hoarding boards outside a scafolded building. The aim was to bring a wide variety of street art to the centre of our town during the Horsham Year of Culture 2019.
I wanted to focus on the beauty of nature whilst highlighting the lack of time we have to save it.

Inspired by the colours of candy floss, I had fun playing with florescent pink shades and textured circles to create this painting. I wanted to capture the playfullness of this cute lamb in an a more abstract and freeing way that I am used to.

This painting came to me after an inspiring trip where I discovered the Art Of Compassion Project. The art there reminded me what a powerful tool our art is to connect with people and share the stories of those who can't speak for themselves. So this piece was in memory of the animals we stand up for, showing each silhouette as an individual, not a number.

This painting is a fun exploration of colours depicting one of my favourite animals. Using the colours one would expect to see and playing with their place in the composition to create an impactful scene. I’m sure the world would seem like a totally different place from the perspective of the sheep.

I am fascinated by the vastness and unknown world of outer space but at the same time, it is crazy to me that so much of a world closer to home is unexplored. But the fact is that we are draining the ocean of its life so we may never know the potential the deep ocean had to show us. I painted this morbid, surreal piece when I felt at a loss at the devastation we have caused; we can’t even measure the full extent of it for all the marine life in the depths.

I love the beautiful fluidity of sea creatures such as jellyfish and octopi and I’m fascinated by the extent of how much we don’t know about the ocean and it’s inhabitants. This surreal amalgamation of our world and theirs is a reflection of this mystery and warning about human interference with nature.
